These lovely little 9ct gold bird earrings were carefully handmade using traditional gold smithing skills and I based the bird on a little wren that hops about in my garden. After first delicately carving the birds in wax, they were then cast in 9ct Eco gold. After gold-soldering on the earring wires, I polished them up to a nice high shine. Eco gold is 100% recycled gold that offers a far more sustainable and environmentally friendly choice over freshly mined gold. Each little bird itself measures 7mm wide and 5mm high including it's little upturned tail and the whole earring measures 29mm in length.
